An inscription in Ottoman Turkish mentions the date 1236 Hijri (1820-1821 CE),Title supplied by cataloger,Unidentified calligraphic manuscript, transcribed during the 19th century by multiple scribes, probably in the Mediterranean or Levant region. The text is written on European-made paper featuring watermarks "ACE" and a feline animal, possibly a lion. The Arabic script (naskh) is written in red and black ink within a rectangular border of gold-leaf, red and black ink. Some verses are highlighted with gold dots decorated with black and red ink. A few text leaves at the beginning and end of the volume are written in black ink only, without ornamentation.
